Coverage Period
- The vehicle is covered for the length of its manufacturer warranty regardless of any change in ownership during this period.
- 2007 and newer model year Ford/Mercury cars and trucks are covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles whichever occurs first.
- 2006 and older model year Ford/Mercury cars and trucks are covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever occurs first.
- 2007 and newer Lincoln vehicles are covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles whichever occurs first.
- 2004 to 2006 model years Lincoln vehicles are covered for 4 years or 50,000 miles whichever occurs first
Conditions
To receive Ford Roadside Assistance service, the customer must:
- Telephone Ford Roadside Assistance on the number provided to notify of breakdown and provide all relevant information.
- Take all reasonable precautions and make no admission of liability or offer or promise of payment of any kind.
- Comply with the terms of the Ford Roadside

Obtaining Assistance
Please have the following information ready when calling Ford Roadside Assistance:
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of your vehicle
- Registration number of your vehicle
- Your exact location
- Your contact telephone number
NOTE: Your 17-character VIN is listed on your vehicle title, registration and insurance documents. It can be found on the driver's side of the dashboard, near the windshield and on the driver's side door jamb.
Towing
In the event of a breakdown of a covered vehicle, Ford Roadside Assistance will arrange for towing or other transportation of the vehicle to the nearest Ford, Mercury or Lincoln Dealer, within 35 miles.
Flat Tire Change
Ford Roadside Assistance will help you mount your spare if you have a flat tire
Battery Jump-Start
Ford Roadside Assistance will endeavor to jump-start the covered vehicle's battery.
Fuel Delivery
If a vehicle runs out of fuel, enough fuel (up to 2 gallons of gasoline and 5 gallons of diesel fuel) will be provided so that the vehicle can reach the nearest service station.
Lockout Assistance
If the covered vehicle's keys accidentally get locked inside the vehicle, Ford Roadside Assistance will provide lockout assistance by the most practical method. However, should customer be unable to gain into his/her vehicle, modern security systems may make a forced entry necessary. If this is the case, any cost for resulting damage will be the customer's responsibility and customer may be asked to sign a declaration stating that he/she has given permission for this. This service does not cover keys replacement.
